Over 4,200 new foster carers must be recruited across England during the next year alone in order to provide more children in care with the homes they need, top charity the Fostering Network is warning today at an event in London (12 May).
A national recruitment campaign to encourage more people to consider whether they have the qualities needed to foster is being launched by the Fostering Network on Monday 12 May in London, to coincide with the start of Foster Care Fortnight (12–25 May).
Please contact the Fostering Network’s media team to find out more about the campaign. We can also provide you with short editorial and an interview with a foster carer or one of our spokespeople.

“I'm really proud to be supporting Foster Care Fortnight. My family have fostered many children over the years, and it's amazing to be able to give and share positive experiences with others who may be less fortunate.”
“As my own parents have been foster carers since I was very young, I know from long experience what a fantastic job foster carers do.”
