Foster Care Fortnight
14-27 May 2012
Foster Care Fortnight is the Fostering Network’s annual campaign to raise the profile of fostering and attract new foster carers.
From 16 to 29 May 2011, with a theme of fostering: time to care, the campaign highlighted the urgent need for more foster carers and called on everyone to get behind fostering and support children in care. This year we particularly focused on the shortage of foster families for teenagers.
During the fortnight, fostering services across the UK held events to promote their need for more foster carers. To find out more about fostering services and events in your local area, visit find a fostering service.
Foster Care Fortnight 2012 takes place from Monday 14 to Sunday 27 May.
