Foster Care Fortnight
Foster Care Fortnight 2009
The Fostering Network would like to thank everyone who was involved in this year’s Foster Care Fortnight and contributed to make it such a success.
Foster Care Fortnight is an annual campaign to raise the profile of fostering and highlight the need for more foster carers.
This year’s theme of fostering: a career that changes lives really struck a chord across the UK, with fostering services reporting an increase in the number of people coming forward to be foster carers. There was widespread national and regional media coverage celebrating the work of foster carers, with events up and down the country encouraging people to consider a career in fostering.
Fostering is changing and as child care experts foster carers have a vital role in caring for and supporting fostered children alongside a team of other professionals.
If you are thinking about becoming a foster carer and would like more information or have any questions please contact the Fostering Network Infoline on 020 7261 1884 or email info@fostering.net.
